We certify NGOs based on the level of information shared voluntarily on www.guidestarindia.org and level of legal and final compliances. NGOs are given the following based on compliance level:
Foundation Level- GuideStar India Transparency Key
Advanced Level- GuideStar India Gold Seal/ Silver Seal
Champion Level- GuideStar India Platinum Seal

The certification is valid 12 to 15 months based on the financial year for which documents are submitted. NGOs are provided training and capacity building support to undergo the due diligence process for which we welcome donations and grants.

We are India's most reliable NGO information repository. GuideStar India has created a vibrant community of 12000+ NGOs across India who get to access a wide range of resources and opportunities. By joining GuideStar India, an NGO demonstrates its commitment to being a transparent & accountable organization. NGOs use GuideStar India as a repository to store all their information and documents so that stakeholders can access the same at their convenience. We have created India's largest pool of certified NGOs who have been certified as Platinum/ Gold seal holders/ Transparency badge/ key holders.

GuideStar India is an initiative of Civil Society Information Services India.

We seek to transform the way NGOs share and report information, and, change the way the people perceive, interact and engage with NGOs.
