Since then, it has grown into a year-round global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people around the world to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. GivingTuesday has been in India for the last five years, and is celebrated each year as the Tuesday of DaanUtsav.

Designation

Consultant - Project Manager, GivingTuesday India 2022

Location

Mumbai (Goregaon East)

Purpose of the Role

Short term (4 months), contractual position, to support GivingTuesday India events held between October 2 and October 8, 2022 to celebrate GivingTuesday during DaanUtsav. 

 

If successful, this short-term assignment could lead to a longer term engagement with GuideStar India. 

 

Reporting & Accountability 

Reporting to GivingTuesday India leader and Founder, GuideStar India. 

 

Working closely with GuideStar India team, GivingTuesday India Hub team, and other partners such as IamHere. 

Role & Responsibilities

        Lead on project planning and management for various GivingTuesday India activities for 2022, to assure high-quality implementation 

      Collaborate and facilitate seamless communication with a diverse group of stakeholders. 

      Ensure record-keeping and follow up of communications across projects

      Manage logistics and budgets for the India Generosity Run and NGO training plan

      Assist with design and creative projects, such as graphic creation and decks

      Lead on revising and updating content for the GivingTuesday India website, and work closely with external stakeholders to ensure the website is up-to-date

May be assigned other tasks and duties reasonably related to their job responsibilities

Job specification

Qualifications

      At least 5+ years of work experience, ideally in event management or production

Competencies 

      Proven excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage time, human resources and budgets effectively

      Proven stakeholder management skills 

      Comfortable working independently

      Experience in event management is a plus

      Ability to juggle competing priorities and work to tight deadlines

      Ability to problem solve proactively

Technical skills 

      Impeccable English writing skills and basic design skills

      Proficiency in MS Excel

      Experience using Asana or similar project management tools will be an advantage

Other information

Time commitment 

      Post is based in Mumbai, and the post-holder must be willing to spend at least 50% of their time working from the GuideStar India office in Goregaon East

      Willingness to work overtime and on weekends, closer to the event week, will be a requirement

To effectively reach out to NGOs and networks for joining GuideStar India and carrying out activities to drive value to them.

Reporting & Accountability

Senior Manager Programmes and Manager Operations

Role & Responsibilities

1.     NGO Partnerships

·       To reach out to NGOs, educate and equip them to join India’s largest NGO information portal www.guidestarindia.org

·       To work closely with network partners, foundations, associations and government agencies to increase participation from NGOs across India

·       To engage in active search for databases, new and emerging national and international resources to identify NGOs for registration on GuideStar India as well as for participating in programmes that benefit NGOs

·       To conduct workshops for NGOs, organize webinars and develop online resource material to support NGOs in their registration process with GuideStar India

·       To conduct outreach activities through email campaigns, workshops and events in association with our partners

·       To manage communications with NGOs and partners through e-newsletters, direct mail and telephone.

·       To ensure delivery as per MoUs  and delight partners

 

2.     Systems and Processes

·       To follow due diligence processes for NGO registrations and approvals strictly as per objective criteria

·       To adhere to processes for ensuring data integrity

·       To participate in testing and debugging activities and proactively identify and report user interface issues 

·       To effectively handle NGO communication in required formats in a timely manner

·       To design communication material such as mailers and promotions

·       To deliver as per pre-determined TAT and partnership agreements for all processes

 

3.     Other responsibilities

·       To work closely with volunteers of GuideStar India

·       To manage a small team of interns, associates, and support staff

·       To carry out additional duties and responsibilities as required from time to time

 

 Authorities delegated to this position

Time commitment

This role requires an individual who can ideally commit to full time work from our Mumbai office. However, GuideStar India allows flexi time and partial work from home for people who display required competencies and technical skills.

Compensation

Rs 25,000 to Rs 50000 per month

To manage finance and accounts of the trust and support administration and operations

Role & Responsibilities

Accounts:

·     To manage accounts in Tally, entry of receipts and payments, journal entries, bank reconciliation, TDS, carry out IT and FCRA compliances

·     To maintain transaction records in MS Excel  

·     To file documents with supporting for easy record and retrieval

·     To process bills and payments

·     To manage bank accounts, liaise with auditors 

 

Operations:

·     To support the NGO registration and certification team

·     To audit and verify documents based on pre set parameters

·     To support, maintain and grow database of NGOs

·     To call for follow ups

·     To ensure weekly data back up

·     To digitise documents

 

Admin role:

·     To manage routine purchases and payments

·     To manage inward and outward of documents

·     To ensure maintenance of office equipment

 

Other

·     To support logistics for workshops, meetings and events

Volunteers
 
We are currently looking for volunteers from any part of India who could help NGOs with our registration process and follow up with NGOs for registration for various workshops. If you have internet access and are willing to devote about 2-3 hours a day on phone between 10am and 6pm IST, please write to pushpa@guidestarindia.org with a brief bio, your present location, languages you speak and number of hours a day you can devote to phone calls. We are grateful to volunteers for sparing their valuable time. We try to provide them with a great experience and let them know of the difference they make.We suitably acknowledge their contribution.
Please note that no compensation or reimbursement is provided to volunteers.
