Child Rights for Change (CRC): Strengthened Child Rights and Improved Education to Prevent Child Labour in South Rajasthan.
Objective: Create an enabling environment which ensures promotion of children’s rights leading to prevention of child labour and migration.
90000 children (aged 0 to 18 years) in 150 revenue villages of 32 Gram Panchayats in five blocks in Banswara district, Rajasthan
Collaboration with Govt programs – SSA, ICDS & ICPS.
Total budget for four years is RS. 85 lakhs per year needs to be mobilized from new source(s).

Project aims to support 25 girls from poor and excluded communities to access university education and secure the government support necessary to provide quality and universal education for children from excluded groups in the 60 target schools.
20000 Children (6 to 14 years) has been targeted to be benefited in 100 Govt. elementary schools of 60 revenue villages in 15 GPs in 5 blocks in Banswara district, Rajasthan.

Pehchan & Prajwala Projects for Educating Out-of-School Adolescent Girls (9 to 18 years) and mainstreaming them in formal schools in rural Tonk, Banswara and Pratapgarh districts. Targeted to benefit 15000 adolescent girls of deprived communities per year.
Earlier funded by UNICEF, Save the Children, Axis Bank Foundation, The Hans Foundation in Tonk and Jaipur districts since July 2002 to till July 2012). The project is being partnered with EdelGive Foundation in Tonk district and National Stock Exchange Foundation / Bodh Shiksha Samiti in Banswara and Pratapgarh districts & collaborated with SSA / State Government and matching grant is required for scaling up the programme in two more districts. Current Annual budget is Rs. 80.00 lakh, required additional funds about 1.5 crores for scaling up in two new districts.

Organisation Profile

Brief Description
CULP was registered as a non-profit, non-governmental organization by professional and social activists in 2001 with the vision ‘Towards a learning and democratic society’ and mission ‘to make learning unfold and develop in an environment of mutuality and discovery’. CULP journey begins with sponsored research studies and an innovative project ‘Pehchan’ for ensuring quality elementary education to out-of-school adolescent girls of socially excluded and economically deprived communities inhabiting in rural Jaipur in July 2002. Subsequently, it was up-scaled with new project interventions in Jaipur, Dausa, Tonk, Banswara and Pratapgarh districts for strengthening school system through community mobilization & CBOs, academic support to teachers for developing their professional skills, organizing bridge courses for mainstreaming of out-of-school children, benefitted more than five lakh children (0 to 18 years).
