Brief Description
SOSVA (Society for Service to Voluntary Agencies) founded in 1984, is a nodal agency engaged in promoting and supporting voluntary organizations in all spheres of socio-economic development by providing technical and human resource assistance in the state of Maharashtra and beyond. One of the most challenging initiatives SOSVA has taken in recent years is the promotion of volunteerism in the community through VOLACT - The Centre for Promotion of Voluntary Action.

VOLACT (The volunteer division of SOSVA) has since 1997 enrolled hundreds of highly motivated volunteers from various categories of our fellow citizens namely senior citizens, housewives, professionals, students etc, and placed them with NGOs operating in different areas of hea
