Background

Organisation History
Absence of awareness about Environment among general public prompted the starting of Babul Films Society NGO non-profit in August 2012 by Gangadhar Panday who took voluntary retirement from Govt of India service. Using the powerful mediums viz Cinema, ICT and Social Media as the driving force of cost effective advocacy work, BFS is focusing on India though intrinsically eOutreach has universal coverage. More emphasis is put on the youth. In spite of the limited resources, considerable work is done to spread Eco-awareness and many more programs based on strong strategy are in the pipeline. Realizing this with the active involvement of people is a challenge for which BFS is well prepared.

Purpose & Strategies
Spread awareness about Environment, Biodiversity and Sustainable Development using short videos & social media in addition to traditional advocacy methods. Use cinema for maximum outreach employing latest technology in cost-effective way by motivating people and involving tem in ecoawareness work.

Vision
Realise a sustainable society with more environmental awareness and less negligence. Ensure that people, individually and collectively, think about the environmental impact of their actions and act in an eco-friendly way to live in and leave behind a better world for now and future of humanity.
