Culture and art plays an important role in the development of any nation. It represents a set of shared attitudes, values, goals and practices. Culture and creativity manifest themselves in almost all economic, social and other activities. A country as diverse as India is symbolized by the plurality of its culture. India has one of the world’s largest collections of songs, music, dance, theatre, folk traditions, performing arts, rites and rituals, paintings and writings that are known, as the ‘Intangible Cultural Heritage’ (ICH) of humanity. In order to preserve these elements, Earthian art foundation implement various programs aimed at providing support to underprivileged children, men, women or any other person in developing their career in the field of art and culture. Realizing the deprived and vulnerable conditions of art and artist, the law makers of the country have always accorded a privileged status to artists. However, even today, after seven decades of independence and despite various initiatives both on the legal as well as policy and program levels, the condition of art and artists remains a cause of concern in the country. With all due respect to the laws and policy makers we, as Earthian Art Foundation decided ourselves to act as facilitators, and wanted to contribute to the cause.
We follow a set of guiding principles to run our organization and support programs serving art and environment that are: 1) Art; 2) Environment; 3) Humanity towards all living beings on earth and their well-being and development ; 4) Leadership and 5)Technology. During the design and implementation of strategies and interventions at the community level we look into: Community focused: Interventions and activities that uphold the best interests of people living in a particular community, address their art forms according to their culture. Best interests of the people: Interventions will protect people from harm and ensure their basic human rights, including their right to protection from discrimination, stigma, exploitation, abuse, violence and neglect. People’s participation: Programs and interventions provide people with opportunities for meaningful participation in program planning, implementation and monitoring and evaluation (M&E). The opinions and ideas of people in the community are equally heard, respected and considered. The ideas and opinions of people and those of adults receive equal attention. Rights-based: Programs and interventions recognize that supporting children and youth is not a favor but an effort to enhance the attainment of their fundamental human rights. Reduction of stigma and discrimination: The reduction of stigma and discrimination against a particular community made vulnerable by society is key to people’s emotional, physical and social well-being and, thus, is integral to the design of programs and interventions. Gender sensitive: The needs, concerns, and perspectives of not only women and men but also LGBTQI+ are addressed in the planning, implementation and evaluation of programs. Programs also actively promote equality between girls/ women and boys/men as a means to foster a supportive environment for children, youth and future generation. Sustainability: Programs not only address the recognition of a particular art form but also implement action to preservation and documentation for the long term. Programs will ensure their overall development and community will receive continued and uninterrupted support.

This is a tribal village. As we work for the traditional art and environment we will develop thirteen modules based on the Seeds, Soil, Sunlight, Seasons, Society, Solidarity, Survival, Savings, Strength, Search, Sex education, Sustainability, Spirituality. Our activities will be more focusing on the confidence building and strength development. This program will be of one year program. Weekly and monthly meetings will be conducted for the discussions and Reflections on Learning. We would require four staff members to begin with rapport building with the children followed by developing regular sessions, managing expanses, arranging exposure visits for children. We are seeking support, both in kind and financial, for this project. This initiative focuses on developing educational modules about seeds, soil and various concepts mentioned above which are vital for their connection to nature and their cultural heritage. In-kind support, such as educational materials, seeds, tools, or expertise, would greatly enhance the quality of our program. Financial contributions will be used to develop and distribute these modules, conduct workshops, and ensure that the children have the resources they need to learn effectively. Your support will make a significant impact, helping to nurture the next generation’s understanding of sustainable practices and preserving their cultural roots. We deeply appreciate any assistance you can provide and are committed to using it effectively to benefit these children and their communities. This scarcity affects students who rely solely on textbooks for exposure to printed language. Studies in Maharashtra reveal that many higher-grade students struggle with basic reading skills. Numerous children only engage with school textbooks throughout their elementary education and often come from homes where literacy is not common. This lack of a literate environment hinders their language acquisition and educational success. To address this, a long-term initiative is needed. The Nandan Project aims to sow the seeds of a reading culture through a sustained, dedicated plan. What Are We Going to Do? 1. Establish an open library in Singapur Village, stocked with a diverse collection of books. 2. Conduct well-researched linguistic post-activities to enrich the literacy environment, enhancing children's connections with books and promoting reading and writing. 3. Develop engaging games centered around books. 4. Incorporate artistic elements with the help of a spectrum of artists involved in the project. We would require- Farming equipments- Spade -1, Kudal(Digger)-1, Sickle-1, Axe-1, Rake-1 Story Books and Toys for upto 17year old children Stationery materials- Note Books-40, Pen-40, Drawing books- 40, Crayon Colors-40 White board-1 and Cupboard for books-1 Carpet-4
