Sevalaya’s first service centre functions at Kasuva Village near Thiruninravur (42 Kms west of Chennai). This campus houses:
Mahakavi Bharathiar Higher Secondary School- Government recognized unaided Tamil Medium School- providing quality education absolutely free of cost to 2000 village children from poor families. Free uniforms, books notebooks, stationery, transport and food facilities Class 0 to Class XII, both boys and Girls, extra curricular activities, value education, Art and Craft etc Montessori training for Kinder Garden for fine motor development and self paced learning Swami Vivekananda Library with an impressive collection of over 20000 books to promote literacy among the children and villagers; Community college offering free vocational courses in five trades, 2 for boys and 2 for girls, 1 for boys and girls and subsequent placement, for school drop outs and other village youth, free of cost.
The budget for this education program - 1,68,00,000 (INR).(1.68 Crores)
No of people served - School currently has 2100 underprivileged children, both boys and Girls in the age group of 3 to 17 years from broken homes below the poverty line families. more than 1000 students passed out so far Community College serves 150 youth per batch for every six months. 250 plus students passed out so far.

Providing food and shelter to Children Home, Od Age Home and Medical Centre
|
Sevalaya’s first service centre functions at Kasuva Village near Thiruninravur (42 Kms west of Chennai). This campus houses:
1. Swami Vivekananda Boys Home and Mother Teresa Girls Home sheltering 148 orphan and destitute children. 2. Sri RamkrishnaParamahamsa Old Age Home sheltering 75 destitute senior citizens who are aged above 60 years. 3. Mahatma Gandhiji Medical Centre to provide quality health care to the villagers. 4. Mahatma Gandhi Medical centre equipped with separate 12 bedded wards for men and women. Organizes free medical camps periodically for the residents and poor villagers.
The budget for this program - 1,09,22040 (INR) 1.09 Crores.
No. of People Served - 148 Children in Sevalaya's Boys and Girls Home, 75 Senior Citizens in Sevalaya's Old Age Home who come from broken families, most of them are ignored by their families who were helpless.

1. Many of the children from the Children’s Home are now well settled in life, pursuing careers in diverse fields such as qualified mechanics, artisans, bank officers, nurses, software professionals, etc. In fact, none of the alumnus of Sevalaya Children’s Home is unemployed!
2. The residents of the Children’s Home are instilled with a sense of social responsibility by interacting with the residents of the Old Age Home, get to understand their responsibility towards sustainable environment by learning organic farming and other eco-friendly initiatives.
3. 1500 Students have passed out in the last 13 years.
4. For the senior citizens participate, in whatever little way they can, in the activities of this self reliant community. We have a home that is designed to accommodate 75 senior citizens. More than 750 Senior Citizens have benefitted in the last 14 years.
5. Medical Centre opened for all people from neighbouring villages and provides much needed medical facilities free of charge.

1.To provide the Children at our Children's Home and senior citizens at our old age home, a reasonable living which includes food, accommodation, medical and other facilities etc, free of cost. 2.To provide breakfast, lunch, dinner including coffee, tea & snacks in between, every day. 3.To provide the basic necessities for the children and senior citizens to manage the day to day life. 4.To provide complete medical care, including periodical check-ups, treatment and hospitalization whenever needed. 5. To provide Free Nutritive food, free medical care, safe and secure accommodation and other facilities for the residents in a healthy and hygienic atmosphere.

Rural Development, Green Initiatives, Craft Centre, Agriculture & Gaushala Projects

1. Kasthurba Craft Centre providing free training in Tailoring to the poor villagewomen to enable them to earn a livelihood. 2. Green initiatives like Tree Plantation, Solar Energy for the campus, Waste Management, Vermicompost using cow dung from Gaushala, bio gas production etc 3. Vinobhaji Goshala sheltering milk yielding as well as dry cows. 4. Promotes organic farming by practicing it in Sevalaya’s fields and organizing free training in organic farming for the local villagers. 5. Organize medical camps to the villagers.
The budget for this program - 53,97,884 (INR) 53.97 Lakhs
No of people served - Medical camps for all the people in neighbouring villages, farmers, 66 dry cows at Gaushala centre, Craft centre training for rural poor women.

Continues to provide free training in organic farming to the local villagers. 3.840 women from 3 craft centres certified and employed. 4. 24,000 benefitted by Medical Camps in last 10 years and provided medical aid for 134400 poor and needy folks . 5. Quality milk produced is used for our children and senior citizens and continues to protect dry cows (66 at present).
