Description
DESH has designed a customized program, the Health Action Program for Progress of Youth - “HAPPY”, that aims to establish a youth movement among the school going adolescents of 6th to 12th standards by empowering the youth to develop “Mental Arsenal” to counter and overcome unhealthy peer pressure so that they become youth health champions/leaders and not become victims or slaves of unhealthy habits like usage of tobacco, alcohol and drugs.

As a lead NGO, DESH is currently implementing “HAPPY” program by training of and networking with 6 partner NGOs in Mumbai supported by TATA Trusts covering 720 schools over a 3 year period (2016-2019), reaching out to 0.5 million school youth directly and 0.5 million community youth indirectly
