Description
1Primary – to provide a hygienic environment which is nurturing both physically and emotionally—which will give them a fighting chance to overcome cancer. Our facilities which include clean / individual and community space/ nutritional support / transport to hospital /as well as the emotional support we provide has ensured that the abandonment rate has fallen significantly at treating hospitals like Tata Hospital.
We ensure ongoing support whenever they return. Once a st jude child always a St,Jude child. This encourages parents to complete treatment thus ensuring cure.

Objectives

Programme Achievements
  • The programme started in Mumbai with one centre/8 units in the year 2006 and by year 2020-21 has expanded to 38 Centres / 475 units in 9 major cities of India.

    Total number of beneficiaries as of July 2021-- 22,584

    Plans are underway for opening Centres in Vishakpatnam / one more centre at Varanasi / Delhi & Guwahati,where it has been established that there is a great need for St.Judes Centres.

    In Navi Mumbai, in collaboration with ACTREC(a branch of Tata Hospital) a 12 storey building is being set up
Programme Goals
1.To ensure that the child completes the treatment and lower the abandonment rate.
2.To reach out to every needy child undergoing cancer treatment in any part of India
3.Provide Educational activities which enable children learn and keep abreast of the topics and concepts being taught in school while undergoing treatment
