Marathwada Gramin Vikas Sanstha (MGVS) working in the field of health, education and women empowerment since 1996 in Marathwada region of Maharashtra state. Community mobilization (Link Worker Scheme) under HIV/AIDS intervention programme for 47000 HRGs, vulnerable and bridge population from 100 village of Aurangabad district of Maharashtra since Jan 2009 . Around 25 lakh fund using for this intervention in each year Fowling serves are given in this project BCC intervention HIV/STI /STD care service and counseling Correct and consistent use of Condom Capacity building of staff project stack holder (block and district) and village level CBOs etc Network and linkages’ for sustainability Mid media activity Care and support for HIV+ve person

IPC on Comprehensive Abortion Care service for 250 village women of Aurangabad and Nasik District

MGVS is working for The program focuses on the Comprehensive Abortion Care among the eligible women (15 to 50 Age group) with Ipas International / India since 2007 in Aurangabad and Nasik district of Maharashtra state, more than 1 lakh rural women cover by this CAC programme Approach and Activities: Approach and Activities: This program had two aspects to its approach. The first one was to have the Anganwadi workers and ASHA and ANMs, health workers of NGOs and Hospitals/ Government RH, PHCs as intermediaries. The second aspect was to utilize different communication tools and channels to create awareness among the target group. As regards the first aspect, the health worker, ANMs and ASHAs and Anganwadi Workers (AWW) has trained by MGVS with the support of trained doctor to actively involve in the awareness programmed. The project coordinator and Assistant project coordinator had coordinated the overall activities and training. The project coordinator also prepared the monthly reports, helped in the trainings and responsible for monthly monitoring and evaluation. The supervisor cum facilitators had directly involved in all the events and gave support to the health workers in organizing all the events and meetings. They also involved in counselling in times of need when critical cases had identified. They also involved with the health workers in identifying the health intermediaries. They build up rapport with the service centres and the leaders of different groups. The health workers organized the group meetings and events with the help of Supervisor; they visited regularly to the members of groups and events for follow up. They identified peer educators. They also regularly visited the Govt. and NGO ANMs and health workers for follow up and feedback. Following activities had completed.

Construction of Residential Care Facility for orphaned and destitute children, Health Center

While working in the area of health and education MGVS has come out with different experiences, learning’s and needs. During our intervention among the High risk groups of FSW, we have come across a number HIV+ve children but do not have any attention or support. It is for these children MGVS intends to start with Home based care as most of them are orphans or semi orphans. The shelter home and hospital site is are known of the society, this hospital will provide ANC,PNC and all primary health services to rural women & children, Quality education , residential care and health services will be given through shelter home for 50 orphan children ,around 80 Lakh required for this project Residentail Education ,health and vocational trainng facilitey services will be given in this centre.

Marathwada Gramin Vikas Sanstha (MGVS) is a Non-Governmental Organization Registered under the Public Trust and Society Registration Act. It is also registered under the FCRA Act and has 12A and 80 G certificates. MGVS is working in the 18 districts of Chh. Sambhajinagar, Nasik, and Pune division of Maharashtra State since the year 1995-96 for the downtrodden and affected area. MGVS working in the areas of health, water conservation, sanitation, women, and child development for the rural and urban poor, MGVS is recognized as a District Nodal Agency GoM under the National Health Mission (NHM), Bajaj Auto Limited, Coca-Cola Foundation, Wipro Cares, JSI -USAID, MSACS, The Bloomberg Initiative, terre des hommes Germany, GiveIndia , Water supply department Govt. Maharashtra and others are the current funding and technical partners. MGVS is actively involved in various projects across Maharashtra, including Water conservation, Jal Jivan mission ,Sanitation STD/HIV/AIDS prevention and control , community health base monitoring, tobacco control, routine immunization, women and child development, sugarcane cutter migrant worker support. Their initiatives have benefited 6448 households and 14578 hectares of land. During the COVID-19 pandemic, MGVS set up COVID Care Centers, distributed food and kits to 6000 vulnerable families, and mobilized over 13 lakh community members for COVID-19 vaccination. They collaborate with 11 PHCs, conducting regular meetings to monitor health care services. The HIV/AIDS project covers 3500 sex workers, 855 HIV+ children, and 25000 vulnerable community members.
