Providing Education to approx. 150 out of school, working children in the age group of 6-14ys. Providing physical and mental health check-ups, treatment and refferals. And creating awareness on the same among the population. Organized National Parent Empowering Parents Workshop on Hemophilia involving all stakeholders like parents of Hemophilia children, social workers, psychologists and volunteers. The workshop was held with the faculty from USA and was supported by Hemophilia Foundation of Michigan.

Empowering Minds –Society for Research and Development (EM) is a registered NGO set up under the Societies Act (1860). It utilizes various participative methodologies in working with individuals and communities for empowering them to attain better quality of life and sustained development.
Empowering Minds was started by a group of like-minded individuals in May 2007, who came together to serve the society in whichever way possible. The first opportunity came with a voluntary training assignment for a research project with the local NGOs in Delhi whose field investigators were trained in data collection and data cleaning and further analysis.
Since then the group worked together on various small but interesting project like, providing support services to children, women, youth groups and the elderly on education and health related matters. Counselling, trainings and proposal development for grass root organisations etc. are some other important areas of contribution.
Motivated by the positive outcome of the efforts made by the group they registered themselves as a society on 22nd April, 2009 (Reg. No. S /65502 / 2009).
Empowering Minds has a team of highly skilled professionals with diverse qualifications and experience in applied research, training, programme management, development, communication and community outreach etc. It also has an extensive pool of associates in India and abroad to provide strategic support.

Richa Mohan is the Director of the Organisation. She is M.Phil in Clinical Psychology from Delhi University and has more than 14 yrs of experience in social sector in the field of counselling and guidance, rehabilitation, health education and communication, capacity building & training, report preparation, documentation and implementation of various social development projects. She has conducted research on children & youth with Hemophilia & several research studies are published to her credit in national and international Journals. She is associated with the cause of Hemophilia and disability for more than 10 years now. She is also serving as a Vice-chair on the Psycho-social Committee of the World Federation of Hemophilia, Canada.
