Programme Title
Sustainably scaling Solar irrigation in Eastern India
Description
Promoting solar powered water pumps for small land- holding farmers in West Bengal - India. This overall objective is defined by the strengthening of women and marginal farmers about solar power pump, increasing number of loans for solar pumps,training programs about solar applications and exposure visit

Objectives
1) 10 Rural Youth / Women and Entrepreneur Training in solar-powered water pump
2) 10 Farmer Trainings on installation and maintenance of solar pumps
3) 20 campaign and Farmer Mobilisation events for solar-powered water pumps, that include offline campaigns at village meetings, distribution of posters, leaflets, banners and videos.

Programme Goals
1)50 Farmer Meetings and Exposure Visits, that will be conducted with farmers to interact with each other.
2) Create knowledge platforms and networks amongst them and can be used as pilot demonstration sides for farmers, who have not so far purchased solar water pumps.
3) 2 Bank Workshops with financial staff from cooperating banks, to increase knowledge on financial terms of loans on solar-powered water pumps and risk assessment.

Solar PV Installer (Electrical) - DDUGKY 280 candidates to be trained in the districts Murshidabad
Description
The Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) announced the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) Antyodaya Diwas, on 25th September 2014. DDU-GKY is a part of the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM), tasked with the dual objectives of adding diversity to the incomes of rural poor families and cater to the career aspirations of rural youth. 280 candidates to be trained in the districts of Murshidabad, Paschim Bardhaman, Jhargram on Solar PV installer.

To strengthen farmer capacity through for enhanced productivity of crop and ensuring access to and usage of quality inputs and services for intensive agriculture enhancing cluster competitiveness.Also to facilitate access to fair & remunerative markets including linking producer groups to marketing opportunities by market aggregators.
