Programme Title
Skill buiding of 300000+ youth linking to livelihood in urban and rural areas
Description
The Yuva Parivartan programme is a comprehensive programme. It is a livelihoods programme, focusing not just on the training, but on ensuring that the participant starts earning an income through self or wage employment. It is often difficult for disadvantaged youth from the rural and semi-rural areas to travel even short distances to reach training centres. The training itself includes, in addition to the technical skills needed for the trade, a unique module for attitude change called “Soch ka Parivartan”, as well as a large practical component which builds confidence. Local level livelihood linkages, ensure sustained income generation. Also, our students are often ones that most other programmes do not reach, as we train youth educated till the fifth & sixth grades.
