Programme Title
CareeAware and CareeReady
Description
Over the past 10 years, Antarang has delivered 2 structured programs across Awareness (Career Aware), Ability & Access (CareeReady). These programs run across the ages 14 to 28. We have scaled the programs across 3 Indian states- Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Goa leading more than 135,000 young adults on pathways to careers of their choice.

1. Career Aware:

- Focusses on children between the age 14 to 17 years
- Key program inputs of this program include self-awareness, career awareness, and
exploration, career guidance and career counselling with parents
- Key impact outcomes of this program include increased aspirations, clarity of career
choice and a clear career plan along with reduced school dropout rates
- Number of beneficiaries served under Career Aware till 2021-22 = ~ 113,897, 2020-21 = ~85,000; and 2019-20:~34,000 respectively

2. CareeReady

- Focusses on young adults between the age of 16-18 years (it earlier used to focus on youth till 25 years of age)
- Key program inputs include self and career awareness with higher focus on career readiness skills, linkage to career opportunities and post-linkage support in
the form of mentorship and career development workshops
- Key impact outcomes of this program include increase in career clarity, awareness of career readiness skills, taking up of at least one experiential learning opportunity
- Number of beneficiaries served under CareeReady up till 2021-22:6457, 2020-21 = ~5000; 2019-20:1567 respectively

Cumulative budget for both programs in 2021-22 was Rs. 4.9 Cr.

Objectives
Career Aware objectives:

1. Students from Grades 9 and 10 from 341 government and low-income schools across Mumbai, Pune, Udaipur and Goa will show increased career aspirations
2. They will not drop out and stay in education by making informed transitions post class 10.
3. They are able to make self-aware career choices and gain clarity of career plan

CareeReady Objectives:

1.Enable students from low-resourced junior colleges and higher secondary schools to
explore aspirational career opportunities
2. Enable at least 75% of these students to make informed transitions to employment or
higher education/ technical training leading to employment
3. Enable at least 80% of these students to have clear career aspirations and clarity
of a career plan

2. At least 75% of students have clarity of career plan
3. At least 80% of students transition to higher secondary education

CareeReady goals

1. At least 75% of students will have an increased bucket of aspirations and increase in awareness of career readiness skills

3. At least 80% of students will take up employment, higher education, or training linkages
