Programme Title
Adult training & employment centre for persons with intellectual & developmental disabilities (IDD)
Description
100 students will receive this input
● Training in prevocational skills though selection of appropriate activities
● Training in life skills using variety of learning aids.
● Conduct Refresher training in vocational programs for existing students
● Train and engage persons with high support needs in meaningful activities.
● Placements in Muskaan vocational units
● Skill matching and placement of candidates in selected production line
● Facilitating on the job training
● Follow up on training
● Regular reviews with families
● Ensuring full engagement & progression for each placement
● Follow ups after placement
● Periodical evaluations & reviews during placement; more intensive follow-up for initial 6-9 months
● Designing new products
● Marketing of products through’ online store and retail store

Objectives
To empower our students by training them in vocational skills and life Skills and providing regular work opportunities in a supported environment

Programme Achievements
  • 1. National Award by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment in 2006 for its outstanding performance in the field of Welfare of Persons with Disabilities.
    2. National & State Award by Godfrey Phillips in 2006 in Recognition of an Exceptional Act of Social Courage.
    3. Best Annual Report award given by CSO partners annual award for outstanding annual report 2008
    4. Best Parents Association working in the field of Developmental disabilities given by National Trust, a statutory national body of MSJE, Govt. of India in 2011
    5. Best Local Level Committee award given by National Trust in 2011
    6. Helen Keller award for creating employment opportunities for intellectually challenged people, given by NCPEDP & SHELL on 3rd Dec. 2011.
    7. Innerwheel impact award 'Humsafar' for the year 2018-19 was awarded to Muskaan's Chairperson Dr. Shanti Auluck.
    8. 32nd Annual Convention NGO award was given to Muskaan by department of financial Studies, Delhi University
Programme Goals
1. Develop life skills & prevocational skills which will facilitate learning of the vocational activities.
2. Provide Training in different vocational skills
2.Strengthen learnt vocational skills through Refresher Training
3.Provide work/employment opportunities to persons with varying ability levels.
