Background

Organisation History
Vasantharatna Foundation for Arts was set up Bharatnatyam Dancer Mrs Subhashini Vasanth, in the memory of her husband, Col Vasanth Venugopal, who was awarded the Ashok Chakra (Posthumous) in 2008. The foundation aims to empower women from martyr families and help them discover their potential, provide financial/emotional counselling and legal support to them, educate and train their children besides increasing public awareness of the sacrifices of soldiers.
