Participate in NGO India 2012

GuideStar India is delighted to announce the launch of the first edition of NGO India 2012 (www.india-ngo.org) a not-for-profit large scale exhibition and conference designed to bring together NGOs from across India to share learning and best practices and engage with key stakeholders including local and international corporates, foundations, government and the general public. NGO India 2012, is being organised by UBM India, a global business media company that does over 50 exhibitions and conferences every year in India. NGO India 2012 will be held from March 16-18 at Epicentre, Gurgaon, Delhi.

NGO India 2012 aims to:
  • Raise awareness of NGOs and their work
  • Create opportunities to showcase the good work of NGOs among the public, to facilitate volunteering, fundraising and other positive action
  • Facilitate NGOs of different sizes serving varied communities to network with each other
  • Connect NGOs with experts in good governance, PR & communications and fundraising
  • Provide a platform that will allow NGOs to engage with government and corporate stakeholders

GuideStar India aims to bridge the information gap in the philanthropy space so that resources reach the most deserving causes and communities through effective and efficient NGOs. We have been enabling NGOs to present their information in an easy to search and connect format on www.guidestarindia.org.  NGO India 2012 is a great platform for NGOs to go beyond the Internet to showcase their work and engage face to face with decision makers from corporate, government and grant making institutions, as well as meet with individuals who seek to experience the joy of giving.

Visitors would get to see at one place, more than 120 NGOs from different parts of India serving diverse causes. We had reached out to 40,000+ organisations via email and 300+ attended orientation workshops in Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai.  NGOs have undergone a due diligence process that required them to share their registration details, audited financial statements and a copy of their tax returns.  Many of them have uploaded these at www.guidestarindia.org. We have provided the GuideStar Number (GSN) for each NGO in the exhibition directory for your ready reference.

NGOs have been working over the last 3 months to prepare for NGO India 2012. Organisations would display their programmes and achievements and highlight opportunities to get involved. Many of them would also exhibit creations and produce of the communities they work with. It is a great place to see innovative solutions, scalable models and interact with social entrepreneurs. We also have organisations that provide services to facilitate giving. There would be opportunities to applaud the talent of artists, children and the differently abled.

The conference on March 16 & 17 aims to deepen the understanding of key issues and during the seminars NGOs would interact with functional experts.

We are privileged to be associated with UBM India in bringing this event to you. NGO India 2012’s objective is to go beyond showcasing, learning and networking.
