Description
Education Sector works towardssafeguarding childhood through extending education support for betterment of vulnerable children. Saath various education sector programs – CFS, Balghar, Education Support through Scholarship, Parental support for girls education, STEM, Masoom etc. ensure provision of building blocks for children’s holistic growth.

Objectives
Objectives:To drive the reach of quality education through its multidisciplinary and innovative programs.
1. Balghar program aims to provide pre-school training to children in the age group of 3 to 5 years prior to joining formal schools.
2. Child-Friendly Spaces Program aims to ensure that children of migrant construction workers have access to formal education.
3. Education support through scholarship program aims to provide scholarship support to needy/ vulnerable girls to support the continuation of their schooling and academic dreams.
4. Parental support for girls’ education program aims to provide food security as an incentive to mothers who regularly send their adolescent children to school.
5. STEM program aims to focus on imparting formal education to school going and school-dropout girls, especially those in the age group of 10-13 years.
6. Masoom program aims to provide educational support to children who are 10th standard dropouts by providing evening training classes.

Programme Goals
Balgharsprogramme - we aim to create a strong base of education in the area. We plan to provide basic education, health and nutrition support to underprivileged and poor children between the age group of 3-5 years.
CFS - we aim to bridge the gap that currently exists in connecting child labourers with the education system.
To increase awareness among the construction worker communities of the importance of education for their children, while simultaneously highlighting the government’s need to reform the education system to accommodate these children. We intend to create a mutual consciousness so that in the end, we are not required and the government works to increase enrolment of these children.
Health- Better health care for the urban poor. To bring awareness to the community about health and education for sustainable behavioural change leading to improved health and hygiene practices.

Objectives
To provide enhanced quality of life through improved health & hygiene practices.
1. RCH (Reproductive Child Health) program aims to create awareness about reproductive health, pre-natal and post-natal care amongst pregnant and young mothers.
2. MCH (Mother & Child Health) program aims to use innovative technology, as well as management and systems solutions to improve maternal and child health.
3. Women Empowerment & Growth Monitoring Program aims to generate awareness about the importance of clean drinking water and sanitation and menstrual hygiene through community awareness programs.
4. MISAAL program aims at establishing a precedent for scalable and replicable Swachh Heritage cities in India.

Livelihood
Description
Livelihood Sector programs are especially designed to reduce the gap between market demands and required skills among youth of vulnerable communities leading to improved quality of life through increased opportunities and incomes.
Since 2014, 807 women trained including 251 adolescents in Micro Entrepreneurship and 556 adults in non-traditional trades, of which 184 linked to market, job placement and business entrepreneurship

Objectives
To provide equal economic opportunities and building resilient communities through its innovative and equality led programs.
Under Livelihoods Sector Saath has been working with youth, women and girls who have pushed the boundaries and are breaking stereotypes to emerge as role models in their communities. Saath also operates upskilling and entrepreneurship programs in the fields of home management, beauty & wellness and micro entrepreneurship.Non Traditional Livelihood options for women provide with a platform to change the stereotype thinking of the communities and help in changing the gender narrative.

Programme Achievements
  • Employment: 59,613 youth
    Employment for people with disabilities: 499 persons
    Livelihoods (Home Managers): 714 women
    Urban Livelihoods (entrepreneurship): 1200 entrepreneurs
    Rural Livelihoods (entrepreneurship): 1,550 persons
Programme Goals
1. To provide equal opportunities of training and job placement to under-privileged youth in market aligned skill training.
2. To provide vocational training to community women and encourage financial independence.
3. To provide with regular upskilling training in entrepreneurship to micro and nano entrepreneurs and help in increasing their income sources.
