Programme Achievements
  • 1. The palliative and hospice services has integrated elderly care services from 5 beds and today we have 100 beds all centres put together. All aspects of palliative care has been provided and RMD has been able to cater services for all sections of society. So far we have taken care of 19000 patients. At present we are also promoting a 50 bed exclusive hospital which is one of its kind which would be replicated as it is a sustaining project.

    2. Understanding the need of professionally trained care givers and job opportunities for bed side assistants and councillors, RMD has been able to provide training and education as a skilled programme, also we provide government empanelled skilled programmes thereby able to improve livelihood of the underprivileged sections of the society. So far we have trained 400 candidates and provided job for 280 candidates.

    3. RMD has been able to create awareness to all medical and non medical people and also actively involve the community in understanding the need of cancer pain care, palliative and hospice services.
Programme Goals
1. TO increase the services to more needy and integrate the services at both Govt and non Govt and community level.
2. To increase manpower of professionally trained care givers thereby to to fill the demand supply gap and increase livelihood for more number of deserving candidates.
3. To integrate palliative care as a policy thereby bring change in the medical system to involve the medical fraternity to provide quality and dignity of life in a holistic manner.
