EYE & ORGAN DONATION AWARENESS CAMPAIGN
Description
We are conducting eye & organ donation awareness amongst the masses so that we can need to tissue can be fulfilled. We are conducting this awareness campaign at public places, offices, big public programs and on many other places so that we can reach upto maximum number of people.

Objectives
1) To eradicate corneal blindness from the Nation and make India corneal blindness free country.
2) To aware people for eye & organ donation and asked them to pledge for the same, ensuring eye & organ donation will become the public movement and everyone will get involve in the cause.
3) To coordinate between the organ donor family and organ retrieval team (say eye banks in case of eye donation).

Programme Achievements
  • More than 5 Lakh eye donation awareness brochure were distributed across the Maharashtra state till 31st Dec 2015.
  • Established DEESHA EYE BANK in Amravati which is well eqiped and providing round-the-clock eye donation facility across the district.
  • Regular eye donation taking place because of continuous awareness programs. More than 200 youth from Amravati city are involved in the activity.
