Programme Title
Vocational Training Program for Poor Women, Muzaffarpur, Bihar
Description
The program is for imparting vocational training in trades like Tailoring, Embroidery and Beautician for 270 poor women. The program budget is Rs. 5,50,250/-.

Objectives
a. To impart vocational training to 270 poor women and adolescent girls (18-40 years) in income generation activities.
b. To help them to be employed/self-employed at the local and regional level.
c. To bring improvements in their poor socio-economic condition.

Programme Achievements
  • Four batches of training has so far completed and 180 poor women and adolescent girls have successfully received training. They are earning good income from the learned skills.

2. Involving them into the mainstream of development.
3. Enhancing overall status of the target groups.

Programme Title
Bio Sand Water Filter Program for Rural Households, Muzaffarpur, Bihar
Description
The project aims to provide low cost bio-sand water filters to 150 village household of the target villages thus reaching to men, women, children, adolescent and aged of the poor community at large, thereby improving their access to safe drinking water through low cost bio-sand water filters thus improving health scenario of the area overall. The Project budget is Rs. 6,58.650/-

Objectives
a. To mobilize and aware village community on bio sand water filters and its benefits.
b. To install 150 bio-sand water filters in 150 households (50 bio sand water filters each year) in 4 villages of targeted panchayats thereby improving people’s access to safe drinking water by their own participation at low cost.
c. To generate awareness on the prevailing hazardous drinking water conditions and the water borne diseases in the target villages.

  • Construction of bio sand water filters and mobilization activities are in progress.

Tree Plantation and Environmental Education Program for School Children, Muzaffarpur, Bihar
Description
It is a tree plantation and environmental education to school children and other people around in the period of 3 years in 4 Middle and High schools of the Marwan, Kurhani and Mushahri blocks in Muzaffarpur district in Bihar. The project will promote conservation of environment in 4 selected schools by 2018. The budget is 6,90,070/-
