Initially the home was started for the girl child, however within a few years it became apparent that needs of boys was just as great.
Currently we house 46 children and have given refuge to 108 children since beginning.
We ensure that all our children are given the best opportunities in life to provide a health, stimulating and holistic development for each child. This includes provide a range extra curricular activities such as dance, music, karate and other sports.
We rely on donations to ensure that we can continue to provide exceptional housing for our and children and to create the atmosphere of a "home".
Moreover, TEWFI has started Nursery and Primary School (LKG-3rd) for our children as well as community children. This decision was made to provide top quality English medium education and to improve educational standards across the panchayat.

Description
This innovative initiative gives children in rural villages an opportunity to learn computers and essential IT skills.
The e-Classroom on Wheels 2 (eCoW2) uses a reconstituted bus to directly deliver services to 13 government schools in the Ediakazhinadu Panchayat. None of these schools have a computer subject, something that is becoming increasing important in enhancing student opportunities in modern India. The bus seat 33 students and is equipped with state of the art materials, including dropdown desks, new laptops with Windows 10, and a LCD TV screen to project lecture. This ensures children are given the best start to their IT education. Additionally the project, started in conjunction with EWB, uses solar panels to power all the bus amenities.
This eco friendly project has impact the lives of over 600 children in the last year, and continues to expand and provide high quality computer education.
